Publications, talks, and explorations on structure, complexity, and orientation
The Digital Space Lab Hub is a public space within Digital Space Lab.
It is where the epistemic architecture of Epistheon meets concrete engagement through talks, workshops, and publications.
Here, questions of orientation are taken up where explanation reaches its limits.
Digital Space Lab operates across distinct but connected domains:
The Hub exists to make questions of orientation discussable without turning them into instruction, method, or solution.
DSL Talks bring questions of orientation, complexity, and responsibility into public settings.
They bring structural distinctions into shared situations of attention.
They take the form of:
These talks do not aim to teach methods or deliver solutions.
They create space for thinking, questioning, and reframing.
Workshops and Masterclasses extend this work into smaller, more focused settings.
They offer structured environments for working with distinctions, boundaries, and questions informed by Epistheon. They are:
The aim is not skill acquisition, but clarity through shared inquiry.
Current formats and upcoming dates are announced via the Blog.
This section hosts written work emerging from the intersection of Digital Space Lab and Epistheon. It includes:
These texts are not canonical. They explore what can be thought with Epistheon in specific contexts.

Within this section, Analytical Extensions form a more focused subset.
They apply the Epistheon architecture to concrete systems without extending the architecture itself.
Epistemic Boundaries of Large Language Models. Explanation, Orientation, and Structural Limits
Analytical Extension · Version 1.0 · Digital Space Lab · 2026
This paper examines the epistemic limitations of large language models by distinguishing between explanation and orientation as fundamentally different domains. It shows why such systems cannot produce orientation or assume responsibility, even when their outputs appear coherent.

The Digital Space Lab Hub is maintained as an open space for reflection and shared inquiry. If you find the materials helpful and would like to support the ongoing work, you are welcome to do so. Contributions help cover time, infrastructure, and the occasional coffee — or pizza.
